Purchase Ledger Clerk
Full-time, salary circa £25,000 , plus excellent benefits
A fantastic opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a forward thinking and fast-growing business. You will help and support the finance team in completing daily tasks in a quick, efficient, and accurate manner to help maintain accurate accounting records and ensure reporting deadlines are met for the management teams.
Responsibilities include –
- Registering, posting, and querying of invoices
- Statement reconciliations
- Liaising with stakeholders internal and external
- Liaising with the bank to resolve payment disputes and technical issues
- Creating the payment run file and ensuring robust controls are in place
- Preparation of the daily bank reconciliation
- Posting journals as and when required
- Managing proforma invoice to suppliers
- Review employee expenses and make reimbursements
- Creation and maintenance of supplier accounts
- Assist with credit control
Candidate requirements –
- Ideally 1 – 2 years of experience of purchase ledger / credit control
- A good understanding of accounts payable controls and procedures
- Have the initiative to resolve complex queries
- Excellent computer literacy including MS Excel and a computerised finance system
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
