Employment Paralegal
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 DOE

Our client – a professional, friendly and supportive law firm based in Harrogate is seeking an experienced and proactive Employment Paralegal to join their team working directly alongside their Employment Law Solicitor.
You will assist on a broad range of employment matters and be involved in everything from case preparation to client liaison and legal research. This role offers excellent exposure and hands-on experience, with real opportunities to contribute to the growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the solicitor on employment tribunal claims, including preparing bundles, drafting statements, and liaising with clients, counsel, and third parties
- Drafting contracts of employment
- Conducting initial client intake and managing basic client queries
- Assisting with settlement agreements and redundancy processes
- Conducting legal research and keeping internal resources up to date with employment law developments
- Managing your own workload of paralegal-level tasks with minimal supervision
- Helping to build and maintain the department’s client base, including networking support and contributing to business development activities
- General administrative support
Candidate Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years’ experience as a paralegal in an employment law setting
- A solid understanding of UK employment law and tribunal processes
- Confident working independently and taking ownership of tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a small team and adapting to changing priorities
- Experience with case management systems and document formatting tools
